They are often heard using the same voice setup as the original vocaloids but seldomly use audio distortion to push their vocal ranges to extremes to achieve a growling effect. Most Hagane songs rely on double bass and blast beat drum techniques along with heavier tuned guitars and bass to give that "down" effect usually used in metal today to achieve quality 'breakdowns'. Kaito Isamine (勇音ＫＡＩＴＯ/勇音カイト Isamine Kaito) is the Metal version of Kaito. '勇音' has been misread as Yuune, as yuu is a more common reading for 勇.He also goes by the collective last name for the Heavy Metal Vocaloids, Hagane (鋼音), as Kaito Hagane. The kanji for her and Len's last name can be read as "Kyoune", but the correct way to say it is "Magane". Len Magane (凶音レン Magane Len) is the Metal version of Len. He also goes by the collective last name for the Heavy Metal Vocaloids, 鋼音 Hagane, as Len Hagane (鋼音レン Hagane Len).
